The Webber Family Preservation Project was created by descendants, scholars, and community activists to research and preserve history of the Webber family of Texas and their endeavors along with others who aided in the fight for freedom in the Underground Railroad into Mexico and those that aided them in that heroic endeavor. We aim to help other descendants and communities to become stewards of their own history and foster inclusivity and diversity in the education history in The Texas- Mexico Borderlands, and the consequences of that history both then, and now. Only through descendant inclusion can a more accurate, equitable, and fair telling of history come about.

Our Vision
This organizations goals to further the research and preservation in the history of the Webber family of Texas, and the descendants of other freedom fighters on the journey to Mexico by way of the Underground Railroad into Mexico are done by the following initiatives:
● Application for listings through state historical commissions, and the National Parks registry of National Historical Markers for independent sites and as part of a historical corridor/district.
● Creating community outreach and public educational initiatives with local community leaders and organizations.
● Compiling, curating, and creating exhibits with museums, libraries, archives, and universities in Texas, the Borderlands, and across the United States and Mexico.
